Thursday, February 28, 2019
6:30 PM

Hosted by The Law Offices of Manes/Weinberg & presented by Beth Manes, Esq.
All students with disabilities are entitled to a free, appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. But who decides what is "appropriate" for a child, and what constitutes the "least restrictive environment"?
In this workshop, parents will learn practical advocacy tips and strategies to avoid common pitfalls when advocating as part of the IEP team for access to the appropriate educational setting, as well as obtaining appropriate supports and services. Parents will also learn what they can do to resolve disagreements with their school district.
