The Helping Horseshoe Therapeutic Riding Club has been established to provide exceptional, safe, fun, and educational Equine Assisted Activities to individuals with and without special needs, of all ages and abilities. Helping Horseshoe also provides horses with a purpose to keep them from becoming unwanted horses. In 1999, The Helping Horseshoe Therapeutic Riding Club was established as a not-for-profit corporation in an effort to provide quality instruction by an experienced certified instructor at an affordable price.

Therapeutic Horseback Riding for Individuals with Special Needs
Private and group horseback riding lessons for individuals with special needs. Year-round program held in our indoor or outdoor arena. Riders also enjoy our sensory trail to enjoy a quiet ride through the woods. We also have a sensory trail for people to walk on themselves in order to decompress or just explore.

Hearts and Hooves Summer Camp for Children in Foster Care
This program contributes to our mission by offering these services to youth in the foster system. Equine Assisted Activities promote the development of important life skills which many with early childhood trauma struggle with, such as self-worth, confidence, responsibility, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and independence. This program offers a week-long day camp at no cost to the families, where children can come together to enjoy the benefits of Equine Assisted Activities, horseback riding, and the outdoors, alongside typical camp activities such as arts and crafts, games, and sports. Our goal is to provide children with a fun, safe, and educational environment where they can be kids, while simultaneously reaping the benefits of equine Assisted Activities.

Equine Experiential Learning Program for Individuals in Recovery for Addiction
This program contributes to our mission by offering these services to individuals in recovery from substance use addiction. This program offers weekly sessions, where people can come together to enjoy the benefits of equine Assisted Activities, horseback riding and the outdoors, alongside learning life coaching principles in order to work on the betterment of their lives. Our goal is to provide people with a safe, educational and supportive environment where they can personally grow while simultaneously reaping the benefits of equine Assisted Activities.

Equine Experiential Learning Leadership Program for At-Risk Youth
Being exposed to skills learned from basic Horsemanship theories and Success Principles individuals may experience personal growth by stepping outside of their comfort zone, learning teamwork, developing new job skills, developing emotional control, nurturing the art of learning, and promoting an increase in self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth.

Equine Experiential Program for Veterans and their Families
Summer Calvary. Summer day camp for children of active military personnel.

Custom-Developed Program for Veterans
Equine Experiential program tailored to provide a supportive and therapeutic experience for adults who are active or retired veterans. In a personal growth program, participants will be taught a combination of the basics of horsemanship skills and life coaching success principles and how they can be applied to real life. This program will also provide an opportunity to develop friendships, get people out of their comfort zone and create a connection with another being, the horse.

Empower Hour Support Program for Volunteers & Participants
We want to give back to our volunteers and participants by having an empower hour which will be a group session that offers a method to assist people to explore ways of betterment in their lives. People will learn principles to gain control over their lives, be able to share experiences with a supportive community all while enjoying the company of the horses at our beautiful serene farm.

We offer work-study programs for individuals with special needs, school programs summer day camp and various volunteer opportunities.
