Calling All Dads! Child & Family Resources will be hosting a Virtual ACT Raising Safe Kids program
ACT Raising Safe Kids is a parenting program by the American Psychological Association. The research-based curriculum is organized according to three central themes: Knowledge and beliefs about child development, relationships, and parenting skills. Therefore, the ACT Program curriculum addressed the following topics: Understanding Behavior Change and Motivation, Understanding Children's Behaviors (Child Development), Young Children's Exposure to Violence, Understanding and Controlling Parents' Anger, Understanding and Helping Angry Children, Children and Electronic Media, Discipline and Parent Styles, Discipline for Positive Behaviors and Parents as Teachers, Protectors and Advocates at Home and in the Communities.
