LGBTQ Teen / Parent Support Groups
Youth Support Group, Ages 13-17
Mondays, 6:00-7:00 pm
Every Monday evening, the main room of NJAS becomes full of laughter and support as our youth group grows. LGBTQ+ Youth Group allows youth an opportunity to hang out as their authentic selves with other like-minded peers. The youth interact with our trained advisors and set their own group rules to follow. The aim of the youth group is not to overwhelm with a structured therapeutic environment but to organically engage with one another in a positive, supportive space.
Parent Support Group
Mondays, 6:00-7:00 pm
Every Monday, EDGE Pride Center hosts a facilitated Parent Support Group that is open to ALL parents & guardians of LGBTQ+ children. Come be a part of a supportive community, no matter where in the process you are. No registration required.
At the center, individuals and their immediate family can access services critical to improving family relations, addressing behavioral health concerns, and ensuring the supportive care necessary to respond to any social service needs. In addition, the center hosts support groups and other social activities where the LGBTQ+ community can organically engage with one another in a positive, supportive space.
