Since 1889, the Market Street Mission has been changing the lives of those who are homeless, poor, and struggling with addiction through the power of Christ and the extraordinary support of our community.
Market Street Mission has expanded its outreach into Sussex County. Located in Newton, our new 14-bed hospitality room on Spring Street is helping us welcome even more men in need
The Market Street Mission's Emergency Services Program fulfills immediate basic needs (food, shelter, clothing & other items of charity), gives appropriate referrals, and allows for the identification of potential candidates for Mission programs.

About 250 meals & 75 shelter stays each day for those in immediate need
Men’s Addiction Recovery
Free, long-term men’s Christian addiction recovery program that includes 12-step work, individual and group counseling, education & job training.
Community Counseling Services
Reconciling people with their loved ones and strengthening family relationships
Chapel & Weekly Meetings
Regularly scheduled services & meetings that give people a solid foundation for stable lives
