Mount Olive Counseling & Clinic

Mt. Olive Counseling & Clinic (MTOCC) is committed to the restoration of individuals and families whose lives have been affected by substance abuse addiction, marital affairs, and co-occurring disorders.

Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric treatments are provided for individuals suffering from psychiatric illness with acute behavioral changes, neurological conditions, and emotional difficulties including but not limited to major depression, bipolar disorder anxiety disorder schizophrenia, and other types of dementia. Psychiatric evaluations are done on-site.

Dual Diagnosis Program
The dual diagnosis program offers critical care intervention to patients with co-occurring disorders. Often when people use drugs they exacerbate emotional, psychological, and psychiatric problems, which require treatment in a dual diagnosis track. This program is primarily designed to give undivided attention to addictive and compulsive disorders.

Family Programs
Our goal is to help foster a family system that is supportive of treatment. We provide an opportunity for the family as a whole to begin to reorganize mutually satisfying and productive interaction.

Partial Care Programs
The goal of this program is to prevent relapse by providing mentoring and continuous treatment to foster community integration, independence, and employment once sobriety has been achieved

Adolescent and Prevention Program
The Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention Program focuses on the awareness of drug abuse and places it within the social context of adolescents. An educational component is provided to demonstrate how drugs affect one's body and life, and how individuals can acquire the skills to make informed decisions about drug use. The program utilizes group processes in peer groups, parent groups, and multi-family groups. We espouse a therapeutic approach that emphasizes motivational enhancement and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
This program serves as a "step down" from inpatient hospitalization or as a means to prevent hospitalization. It is designed for individuals who are able to remain in regular school, at home, or attend transitioning educational programs while being treated for chemical dependency. We provide individual and peer group processes, education, and experiential exercises. The program focuses on the individual’s specific needs and addresses self-awareness, 12 Step lifestyle, and motivation.

Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
This program allows the patient to maintain family and work responsibilities. It provides a treatment setting that is less restrictive than residential rehab. The 12 Steps philosophy is integrated with group processes and didactic presentations. Our principal focus is to teach the clients the skills necessary to maintain abstinence from alcohol and drugs as they initiate the process of recovery. The program meets three evenings per week and random urine screens are required.
