In January 2011, five United Ways consolidated to form United Way of Northern New Jersey. Our combined efforts allow for an increase in productivity, an extension of reach, and a maximization of resources. But most of all, our merger increases our ability to have a positive impact on each individual community and thus the northern New Jersey region as a whole.
United Way focuses on the building blocks for a good life: a quality EDUCATION that leads to a stable job, enough INCOME to support a family through retirement, and good HEALTH. We aim to create long-lasting community change in these areas by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues.
