Bridgeway-Sussex offers services to help persons experiencing serious mental illness to manage their illnesses and recover their functioning and place in the community.

Employment/Career Services
Bridgeway emphasizes vocational development as a crucial ingredient in the rehabilitation and recovery of people who have mental illness. Work is important, not only as a means of financial support, but as a self-esteem builder. Bridgeway uses the Supported Employment model of services which is recognized as the best practice to assist people who have mental health disabilities to get jobs.

Homeless Outreach
Bridgeway provides outreach, support, and case management services to adult Sussex County residents who are homeless, or are at risk of becoming homeless and who have a mental illness. Bridgeway does not own or manage housing facilities

Integrated Case Management Services (ICMS)
ICMS is available to Sussex County residents who have been discharged from a State or County psychiatric hospital, have had multiple recent contacts with psychiatric emergency services, or who are in the community with a serious and persistent mental illness without connection to community resources. ICMS provides community support, linkage and referral to services, and monitoring of service provision to maximize independent living and reduce re-hospitalization.

Partial Care, Day Rehabilitation Program
Bridgeway’s Partial Care program is a day rehabilitation program providing psychiatric rehabilitation services in a freestanding community based setting. The program offers daily clinical, prevocational, educational, social, and support services as a bridge between emotional illness and productive active living. The program provides a range of recovery oriented services that address the holistic needs of the person in recovery including an opportunity to work on personal, social, vocational, wellness, and educational goals, with a focus on helping individuals to connect or reconnect with valued roles, to live as independently in the community and to prevent the use of more acute psychiatric services. The program operates on the tenet that all individuals when given support, skill training, opportunity, and encouragement can learn to live more independently and be more self-sufficient.

Community Support Services
Supportive Housing & Enhanced Supportive Housing
Community Support Services provide services necessary to assist Sussex County residents achieve mental health rehabilitative and recovery goals across a series of wellness domains including employment, education, housing, physical and mental health. Services begin with the development of an individualized recovery plan through a comprehensive personalized needs assessment. Persons served in this program learn and practice skills in order to restore and/or develop their abilities to achieve community integration and remain living independently in the setting of their choice.
