Anchor Behavioral Solutions

When an individual’s behaviors are disruptive to their daily life — and to the lives of those around them — Anchor Behavioral Solutions provides intensive behavioral interventions to promote positive change. We work intensively with program participants and their families to manage and eliminate challenging behaviors, support personal growth, and increase independence in daily living.

Our Children's services:

Our evidence-based treatment plans are designed for children under 21 with a diagnosis of autism or a developmental disability. We use techniques based on Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).  Our collaborative family approach includes parents and family members, teaching caregivers to apply the principles of ABA for a consistent approach to care.

Our Adult services:

Designed for those with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, are delivered in the home setting as well as the community. We are licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Rehabilitation and the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide care services statewide.

  • Community-based supports services, which are designed to increase a participant’s independence, sense of self-worth, productivity, and involvement in the community.

Participants at other levels of cognitive function may have care plans focusing on navigating and interacting with the community, including safely crossing the street, taking public transportation, as well as participating in group social activities.

Community-based supports are not limited to program participants. The ABS team also coaches family members in techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and offers respite to those primarily tasked with care responsibilities.

  • Individual supports, a program similar to community-based supports, provide a greater focus on the individual’s specific needs to develop necessary adaptive and self-help skills. From grocery shopping, food preparation, and laundry skills to personal care, ABS’ one-on-one individual supports provide instruction in managing the activities of daily living and becoming more independent.
