Benny's Bodega

Set up like a store, Benny’s Bodega offers hardworking people who are struggling a place to “shop” for basic needs items free of charge.

Our target population is the A.L.I.C.E (Asset-limited, income constrained, employed) population, the people working hard but not making enough to get by, while simultaneously making too much to receive any government assistance, Veterans, and Senior Citizens.

The Bodega operates with no government funding, our doors stay open, and our shelvesare  stocked from donations given by our supporters!

No appointment is needed to come in and “shop” the store.

Just bring the following items with you, based on your group:

Shop Twice A Month With These Documents
Employed: Photo ID and most recent pay stub
We Do Not Look at Income Amount

Shop Once A Month With These Documents
Seniors (61+): Photo ID with date of birth
Veterans: Photo ID and proof of service

If you have visited previously, please bring your Bodega Scan Card & Your Bodega Bags in addition to these items. You will receive one Bodega Scan Card and three Bodega Bags free of charge at your first visit. We cover the cost of these items initially, but you must be accountable for holding on to them. There will be a $20 Charge to replace scan cards and $5 charge per bag to replace bags.
