Boonton PEAC is the Boonton Parents of Exceptional Adults and Children; also known as BPEAC (b-peace). Boonton PEAC started in 2002 by a group of concerned parents to improve the opportunities for their children with special needs within the community.

BPEAC:

  • Organizes recreational and social programs for children and adults with special needs with the support of Boonton Parks & Recreation Dept. and other community groups
  • Sponsors, organizes and supports workshops and seminars about topics important to special education
  • Advocates for students within special education programs
  • Provides support network for parents to exchange thoughts and ideas
  • Assists Boonton PTA in providing peer mentor training for students in Boonton schools to assist students with special needs participate in inclusive extracurricular activities
  • Is a member of BECON, Boonton school district’s parent advisory committee
Eligibility Membership in Boonton PEAC is open to parents in and around Boonton. Students with in-district and ou-tof-district placement are welcome to participate in Boonton PEAC recreational activities.
