The Sussex County Interfaith Hospitality Network (SCIHN) is a network of volunteers from local congregations provides emergency shelter, meals and support services to families & single women who are homeless. Volunteers offer support and encouragement as families in trouble try to survive and stay together.

Other programs include:

Supported Housing:

  • Outreach Services: IHN provides support, advocacy, and access to resources, financial assistance, household items, food, and a solid support system to help maintain permanent housing.
  • Community Services: IHN has been building a relationship within the community hoping individuals will feel comfortable enough to seek assistance before they reach the level of homelessness. Most of the Outreach Services are provided to members of the community.

Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing (HPRP):

HPRP is a two year grant to assist individuals with back rent, utilities, and security deposits. These funds allow us to work with the families to stabilize them in their homes and to provide short term rental assistance, preventing homelessness.

Furniture Donations:

Donated furniture is collected and distributed to famiies who are moving into permanent housing
