Sawtelle Adult Residential Services provide permanent, home-like, residential care for individuals 21 years of age and over who are affected by acute Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (including Autism Spectrum Disorders) with cooccurring Behavioral Health or Mental Health challenges. Individuals learn how to control problem behaviors in a safe, caring, nurturing environment while learning new life skills and self-care to develop their self-sufficiency. . Residents have a stable daily routine and the opportunity to participate to the best of their abilities in a day habilitation program where they can engage with friends, go on outings, or participate in a volunteer project. Family involvement is encouraged at the home, and individuals participate in regular life-enriching recreational and social experiences to keep them connected to their community. Referral Source YCS Sawtelle is an approved provider of the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities. All referrals are made through the Division of Developmental Disabilities and Support Coordination.
