PATCHES is a free and confidential group that meets weekly at Ginnie's House, Children's Advocacy Center.  Members of the group are encouraged to participate by sharing experiences, current struggles, and successful strategies.

PATCHES offers a friendly, supportive environment for parents and other caregivers of children who have been victims of physical or sexual abuse.

Attendees will:

• Learn the dymanics of child abuse and fain understanding of typical reactions of both children and caregivers.
• Practice skills for manaing thier own feelings while they create a healing environment for the child.
• Increase knowledge of investigation procedures and how to work effectively with agencies involved in cases of child abuse.
